The holiday season would not be complete without this festive tradition. For more than 20 years one version of the beloved holiday tale of The Nutcracker captured the hearts of everyone in Northeast Ohio. Last seen at Playhouse Square in 1999, Dennis Nahat’s spectacular production makes its triumphant return to the State Theatre stage complete with the characters audiences love and the wondrous snowstorm, spectacular journey to far away lands and surprise magical ending they will never forget.
