MAKING THE CUT - AUDITIONS COME TO CLEVELAND

Auditions for Disney’s On The Record were held in cities across the country including Cleveland and New York. Casting agents were looking for strong, dynamic singers and dancers who would make the production come to life. The selected cast members would have the opportunity to tour with the show across the country and to be a part of the original cast recording.

Auditions were held in Cleveland on June 19, 2004 in the East Rehearsal Hall of the State Theatre. Among the group was a young man named Josh Franklin. He was the only performer who was cast in the show out of more than 80 who auditioned that day. At the time, Franklin was in Northeast Ohio appearing in Carousel Dinner Theatre’s production of Annie.
